For Mother's Day I took 20 Swanky fat quarters, my Sparkling Cider pattern and headed over to Scottie Dog Quilt Shop. Uninterrupted sewing from 11am-8pm. Ohhh it was was so nice and when I got home Kylar had Cade in bed and dinner ready!! Tried to get some pictures this morning, I had a lot of help from the wind and Cade.
I'm teaching this quilt at Scottie Dog Quilt Shop July 10th and September 26th, so I wanted to make a new sample for it.
Look close at this picture, you'll see Cade is now shoe broke, thanks to dad.
that's the outline of dad after help from Cade. You can see there's been a lot of painting, building and rototilling from the background. You'll also see we have one more ugly aluminum framed window to replace. We're doing this one last because nobody sees the back of the house...guess I picked the wrong place to take my pictures!!
here's a kiss from Cade!!

  1. I LOVE that quilt! Those fabrics have to be some of the best of the year. Every time I take a picture of a quilt, Sydney runs in front of it to have her picture taken too. I have to be quick to get some without her!

  2. Beautiful quilt! Plus now I know what to ask for next mother's day. A day of nothing but quilting and sewing!

  3. tell Cade, thanks for the kiss....What could be better than toddler kisses?

  4. The quilt is wonderful! And Cade seems to enjoy it too!

  5. that is a wonderful quilt ... love the fabric choice and it works beautifully with that pattern .. have added that pattern to my wish list :) thanks for sharing .. karen ca
