Just Can't Cut It

We are very thankful to have this pattern be in the top 10 sellers for several years in a row!! This is so fun. You pick a great focus fabric ( that's too awesome to cut up into little pieces) and pick your size ( there are 7 sizes to choose from baby - king). This is one that you make over and over again!!

  1. Count me as one of those who helped push it to the top. I made two of these. In 2005 my local quilt store suggested it as a beginner quilt for me. I have fond memories of it now as it was my first exposure to cutting and piecing.

Love your runner tutorial on Moda Bake Shop.

  2. Love this pattern. I made two baby quilts when I heard that my first grandchild was to be a boy. I made one Dodger quilt and one Laker quilt for him. His Dad loved it too. Baby Brock is now 6 months old.

  4. I bought this pattern a while ago and it is a great easy one. I love focal fabric and it is hard to cut up. But this pattern allows you to let the focal fabric shine! Love it!

  5. I have this pattern and am planning on making a king and queen quilt. I am a novice when it comes to quilts. I am hoping I can successfully make one look like yours. Thank you.

  6. At a quilt group I attended my teacher recommended this pattern for my first one. We made the body of the quilt this week. It's a GREAT pattern to start out with!! I picked the baby blanket size since it was smaller. When I finish this one I am going to use it to make a twin size next.
It was great to learn to measure and cut with too - there are the 12 1/2 blocks then 6 1/2 squares and then 4 1/2 by 6 1/2 squares.
Great pattern to learn wtih if you are new to sewing/quilting!! Thank you!

  8. Have had this pattern a very long time now and made several quilts with it. When helping new quilters we start with this one, it is my go to pattern for a quick easy quilt.
